Πολιτισμολόγος, μουσικός: φιλοσοφικές, αισθητικές θεωρήσεις των τεχνών
Γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα και κατάγεται από την Κέρκυρα. Είναι Διδάκτωρ φιλοσοφίας του Ε.Μ.Π. (Σ.Ε.Μ.Φ.Ε., τομέας Ανθρωπιστικών, Κοινωνικών Επιστημών και Δικαίου), μεταπτυχιακός του Εθνικού Μετσόβιου Πολυτεχνείου (Σχολή Αρχιτεκτόνων) και πτυχιούχος της σχολής “Ανθρωπιστικών Σπουδών” του Ε.Α.Π. Επίσης είναι διπλωματούχος κλασικής σύνθεσης και πτυχιούχος ανώτερων θεωρητικών μετά τις σπουδές πιάνου και ακορντεόν καθώς επίσης και Σύνθεσης για το θέατρο και τον κινηματογράφο (“Ωδείο Φίλιππος Νάκας”, “Εθνικό Ωδείο”, “Απολλώνιο Ωδείο” και “South Eastern College”). Έχει τιμηθεί με τα βραβεία: Βραβείο καλύτερης μουσικής για το θέατρο (Φεστιβάλ Διστόμου, 2019), Βραβείο μουσικής για το θέατρο (Unesco, 2015), 4 πρώτα Πανελλήνια βραβεία στους διαγωνισμούς “Makemusic Contest” και “1ο Πανελλαδικό Διαγωνισμό Μουσικής Δημιουργίας – Music Powered by Technology” και με τιμητική διάκριση από την Ένωση Ελλήνων Λογοτεχνών για μελοποιήσεις ποίησης. Έχει γράψει συμφωνική μουσική για μικρά και μεγάλα ορχηστρικά σύνολα καθώς και μουσική δωματίου. Έχει συνθέσει μουσική για περίπου 60 θεατρικές παραστάσεις (Μέγαρο Μουσικής Αθηνών, Εθνικό Θέατρο, ΔΗ.ΠΕ.ΘΕ. και ελεύθερα θέατρα), 20 ταινίες μεγάλου και μικρού μήκους, ντοκυμαντέρ, μουσική για εικαστικές εκθέσεις και ποιητικές συλλογές ενώ έχει στο ενεργητικό του πάνω από 140 κυκλοφορημένα τραγούδια. Τo 2017-18 δίδαξε το μάθημα της Φιλοσοφίας της μουσικής στο μεταπτυχιακό του Ι.Φ.Ε.Τ (Μ.Ι.Θ.Ε). Επίσης διδάσκει ανώτερα θεωρητικά και σύνθεση, καθώς και σύνθεση για μουσική στο θέατρο και τον κινηματογράφο, έχει δώσει σειρές διαλέξεων και επικουρική διδασκαλία στο Εθνικό Μετσόβιο Πολυτεχνείο, το Ε.Κ.Π.Α. (Τμήμα μουσικών σπουδών και τμήμα θεατρολογίας), κ.ά. Άρθρα του έχουν δημοσιευθεί σε ελληνικές και διεθνείς επιστημονικές εκδόσεις ενώ έχει στο ενεργητικό του και δύο βιβλία με τίτλο: “Το μαύρο αλφαβητάρι της μουσικής”, 2016, εκδ. “Κουίντα” και “Λόγια σε αχνό πορτοκαλί”, 2017, εκδ. Δρόμων.

Born in Athens, with a descent from Corfu. He received his PhD from the National Technical University of Athens (SEMFE, Sector of Humanities, Social Sciences and Law); he received his Master’s degree from the National Technical University of Athens (Department of Architecture); he studied Humanities in the Greek Open University. He also holds a Diploma for Classical Composition, as well as degrees in Higher Music Theory and Musical Composition for Theatre and Cinema (Filippos Nakas Conservatory, National Conservatory, Apollonian Conservatory, South Eastern College), all accompanied by studies in classical piano and accordion. He teaches Music Theory and Composition, as well as Composition for Theatre and Cinema Music. He has lectured extensively in the National Technical University of Athens and in the University of Athens – departments of Music Studies, of Theatre Studies and of Philosophy of Science. He has participated in numerous conferences (both national and international), and many of his articles have been published in Greek and in international publications. He has also authored two books: The Black Abecedary of Music (2016; Quinta Publications), and Words in faint orange (2017; Dromon Pbl). He has received four first national awards in “Makemusic Contest”, as well as in the “1st Nationwide Competition for Music Creation – Music Powered by Technology”. The Union of Greek Literature Writers has honoured him with a Distinction for setting poetry to music. He has composed symphonic music for small and large instrumental groups, as well as chamber music. He has composed incidental music for approx. 60 theatrical presentations (The Athens Concert Hall: Megaron, National Theatre of Greece, Municipal & Regional Theatres and other professional stages), 20 short- and full-length movies, documentaries, music for artistic exhibitions and poetic collections, and he has more than 140 tracks in circulation.
